Christmas came early this year! The music app Spotify has recently dropped their Spotify Wrapped on December 3rd. Spotify Wrapped is an annual, personalized data story released by the music streaming service that recaps a user’s listening habits throughout the year, showing top artists, songs, genres, minutes listened, and unique listening habits, presented in shareable, visually engaging stories for social media, turning personal data into a cultural moment. It offers a fun, nostalgic look back at your music journey and memories tied to songs. 

ABC News reports that the 2025 Top Artist was Bad Bunny with nearly 20 billion streams worldwide, followed by Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish. 

Palisades classrooms exploded in talk of their Spotify Wrapped, with students wondering who had the best top artist or best music listening age. But who really had the best Spotify Wrapped at Palisades? We asked some students and teachers to share their best parts of their wrapped.

When asking around, the first name people said was “Ask Mr. Einolf”. He did not disappoint! Mr. Einolf’s top artist was The Cure, an English rock band formed in Crawley in 1976 by Robert Smith and Lol Tolhurst. He has listened to 39,799 minutes of music in 2025, with 2,049 songs and 1,553 artists. Finally, his listening age was 24 years old! 

Another teacher we asked was Ms. Casale, who listened to 1,132 songs and 218 genres. Amongst this, she listened to 2,500 minutes of podcast and 617 artists in 2025. Her top artist? The shocker of all was it was not David Bowie, it was in fact Chappel Roan!

Although these teachers had impressive wraps, some students had even more impressive numbers! Beating Mr. Einolf’s minutes was Kristian Adams with 85,150 minutes listened. Saii Reilly had listened to 1,817 songs and 710 artists. Owen Smith’s top artist was Tenacious D and had a listening age of 76!

It is very interesting to notice the diverse music Palisades High School listens to!  From teachers vibing to classic rock to students blasting the latest pop hits, it was so exciting to come into school on Wednesday and compare everyone’s Spotify Wrapped minutes or ages. So whether your top artist was Taylor Swift, Tenacious, or Beethoven, Wrapped reminded us that every beat tells a story—and this year, the soundtrack of our community was nothing short of unforgettable.
