The Pirates’ Pearl, established in 2006, is located in Kintnersville, PA.
Pirates’ Pearl articles are written by Palisades High School students. We encourage students to add their voices to our school newspaper by contributing to the Pirates Pearl through the Journalism Club and the Journalism class.

Hi! My name is Lauren, and I am a senior. Aside from journalism, I am in Debate, Madrigals Choir, Theatre, Marching Band, Concert Band, and Spanish Club. Outside of school, I love playing keyboard, racing BMX, and listening to music. I plan to major in political science and become a lawyer after college. Over the summer I got to study law in Philadelphia, which sparked my interest in law and writing.
I’m Sophia , a senior. At Palisades, I’m involved with several clubs, especially as co-president of Debate club and Dungeons and Dragons. In my free time, I like to draw, read, and bake anything from cookies to cheesecake.
My name is Brodie, and I am a Junior this year. I hope to be an author one day, which is one of the reasons I write for the paper. Aside from writing, I enjoy running, reading, watching TV, and spending time outside. I am a captain of the Cross Country team, and a member of Track, reading olympics, cybersonics, and German club.
Hi, my name is Wren! I am currently a sophomore here. A few of my hobbies include track and field and field hockey, which I both do here at the high school. I love to listen to music, go snowboarding, and spend time with my friends and family! I love writing because I think it is interesting. I love reading other people’s writing and being able to put my own thoughts down on paper. I enjoy writing for journalism because I am able to write about current things happening in our community and in the world.
I’m Layne. I have a love for journalistic writing since I feel like I can express myself in a better way by connecting to current events. I love being in on what is happening in the world and making sure it’s loud. A little more about me, I like to play the drums, and I love music in general. I enjoy discovering new bands and collecting records and CDs from my favorite bands.

I am Mary Fauerbach, and I am a freshman at Palisades High School. I am the oldest of five (four girls and one boy), and I enjoy playing sports in my free time and hanging out with friends. Some sports I play are track, and on my ow,n I love to work out and go for runs in my small town. I also like to go on walks with my friends and get ice cream in the summer.
