Spring weather is revitalizing to the spirit. We are more energized and optimistic in the Spring. However, in those Spring days when we are stuck inside because of the rain, there are still fun things to do. Here is a list of things to do when the weather is dark and wet.

Go To a Museum
Rainy days are the ideal excuse to adventure indoors—and there are no shortages of fascinating
museums to take cover in. Find mind-bending illusions in the Museum of Illusions in Philadelphia, get your
hands dirty with science at the latest Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, or explore local history in the
Mercer Museum in Doylestown. Or, if you’re in a creative mood, The Michener Art Museum in Doylestown is a peaceful haven with stunning exhibitions. Whether you’re a curious child or a curious-at-heart grown-up,
there is something in-doors for everyone.

Visit the Aquarium
Spend your day watching beautiful creatures swim at the Camden’s Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey. With its inhabitants of hippos, sharks, and over 15,000 sea creatures, it’s the perfect place to see the magic of the
deep without wetting your feet. Walk through a shark tunnel, touch stingrays for yourself, or just
drift along in the calming blue light of the tanks. It’s fun, engrossing, and a good way to spice up your day on a soggy day.

Try an Escape Room
Make a drizzly afternoon an action-packed thrill ride with a brain-buster puzzle-solving escape
room adventure. Breaking cryptograms or dodging fake laser beams, it’s the solution for staying
dry and entertained. Give Amazing Escape Room in Montgomeryville a try, or head on over to
Easton for Twisted Escapes and Off Center Escape Rooms mind-bending brain teasers. Race Against the Machine in Flemington cranks it up with sleek puzzles and rapid-fire
action. Get your team together and test your skills against the clock.

Watch a new movie
When rain is pouring down, nothing beats getting lost in another world—either at the movies or
from the confines of your sofa. See the latest blockbuster on local staples like Quakertown’s
Regal Cinemas, Warrington’s AMC Theatre, or The Promenade’s Cinemark for a pampered
movie-going experience. Staying home instead? Build a blanket fort, load up on snacks, and get
your favorite oldies or streaming shows in for a rainy-day movie marathon experience that’s
every bit as great.

Bake something new
Rainy days are made for baking. Start by raiding your pantry—chocolate chips? Check.
Cinnamon? Even better. Then find a recipe you’ve been meaning to try (or make something up!)
and turn your kitchen into a cozy, sweet-smelling escape. Whether it’s gooey cookies, banana
bread, or homemade soft pretzels, it’s less about perfection and more about having fun (and
licking the spoon, of course).

Test out your artistic skills
Let the rain mood be an inspiration. You may be finishing up a scenic puzzle, getting lost in the
soothing art of diamond painting, or just doodling whatever pops into your head. Whatever it is,
there’s something to be said for losing yourself in something artistic. You don’t have to be skilled
at it—just take what you need, put on a playlist, and let your imagination run wild.
