Olivia Rodrigo, a 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and actress, has been on her Guts World Tour for one year, beginning on February 23, 2024. This is a big jump in her success, and earning the title of highest-grossing artist born in the 21st century. Guts is her second album and tour, her first being Sour.   

The setlist for the Guts Tour consisted of songs such as  “Bad Idea Right?”, “Vampire”, “Traitor”, “Drivers License”, “Teenage Dream”, “Pretty Isn’t Pretty”, “Love Is Embarrassing”, “Lacy”, “So American”, “All-American B****”, and many more. A few of these songs are from her previous album, Sour. She added more songs along the tour, most notably when she added “Can’t Catch Me Now,” which she came out with for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. 

As an attendee of the Guts Tour, I thought her tour was perfectly put together. She is a wonderful performer and has such a dominant stage presence. She begins her tour with so much energy but also is not afraid to perform her slower songs to be able to give both her, her band, and the audience a break. She also performs with a fully female band. One of my favorite parts of her show was how she took the time to have an individual moment on stage with each band member, showing her appreciation for their work. 

The energy at her show was so engaging and filled with people who were truly fans of hers. Another top moment of her performance was how she made the whole audience part of the show and made her show very interactive. Even sitting pretty far away from the stage at a sold out show, I could still hear and see her very clearly and could still feel the energy she brought to the stage.

Olivia Rodrigo was first brought to fame from her Disney Channel show Bizaardvark in 2016. She was next seen on High School Musical The Musical: The Series in 2019. On the set of this show, she met her now ex-boyfriend Joshua Basset. Their breakup supposedly inspired her Sour album, along with Joshua’s girlfriend after Olivia, Sabrina Carpenter. 

Along with her own fame, her tour was able to jumpstart many other artists’ careers. One of Olivia’s first openers was Chappel Roan, who has now sold out a venue. PinkPantheress has also opened for her along with a few other artists. 

Fans are excited to see that Olivia Rodrigo is going to continue her world tour in 2025. She is trying to make sure all her fans get a chance to see her as she is traveling the world with her performances.
