Have you ever wanted to pull an April Fool’s Day prank that would make your friends and family fall out of their seats with laughter? Most April Fool’s pranks are lame, cheesy, and aren’t really funny. April Fool’s Day is greatly looked past and should be a day full of laughter. Here are 5 pranks that will make friends and family laugh. 

Pre-filled water glasses

Most houses have a cabinet dedicated to holding glass or plastic cups that are empty. This is a simple prank that costs no money and just takes a few minutes. Remove all the cups from the cabinet shelf. Fill all the cups with water from your sink. You can fill the cups halfway or to the top, it does not matter. Then once all the cups have water in them, put the cups back on the cabinet shelf. Close the cabinet door and watch as your family or friends open the cabinet and get hit with an odd surprise. 

Mash potato ice cream

This prank is not as quick as the last one and costs some money to accomplish. You will need a small pint of vanilla ice cream and instant mashed potatoes. First, you will remove the ice cream and put it in a separate container to enjoy later. Make sure to save the pint container. Then you will cook the instant mashed potatoes. Once the mashed potatoes are done, put the potatoes in the empty pint of ice cream and put it in the freezer. Someone will open the freezer, looking for a sweet dessert, and get a spoonful of frozen mashed potatoes. 

Swapped chips

For this prank, you will need two different flavor bags of chips and a hair straightener. First, you will neatly open both bags of chips. Make sure the chip bags have no rips. Once done, empty the chips into two bowls. Once the chips are out, preheat your straightener. Put the chips in opposite bags. Once the chips are in their opposite bags, take your straightener and lightly seal the chip bags back closed. No one will notice the chips are swapped until they take a bite of a chip. The look of confusion on your friend or family member’s face will be unforgettable. 

Eggs with faces

This is a harmless prank that takes little time and money. You will need a Sharpie marker and a carton of eggs. This prank is super easy and lets your creative mind thrive. Take the Sharpie marker and draw silly faces on the eggs. Each egg will need a different face so be creative! You can give them fun facial expressions. The eggs with faces will make anyone double-take to make sure they are seeing the eggs correctly. 

Broken remote

This prank is aggravating and will give anyone a good laugh. You will need the living room TV remote and a piece of electrical tape. Take the remote and find the sensor. This sensor is what is needed to turn the TV on. You will take the electrical tape and cover the sensor. When the sensor is covered by the tape, the remote will not turn the TV on. Watch as your friends or family get frustrated by the TV. 

In the end, make sure you are close with the people you are pranking. Some people may not appreciate the prank while those close to you will. Don’t get in trouble, think through the consequences of the prank, and have a fun April Fools Day!
