Sabrina Carpenter went on tour in 2024 and made 500k per concert! She didn’t grow up famous, she worked her way up. She is known all over the world, but did you know Sabrina grew up quite close to Palisades High School?
Sabrina Carpenter was born in Quakertown, PA and raised in East Greenville, PA, 40 minutes from the Palisades area. Sabrina has three older sisters and was home schooled! She lived in PA until she was 13 years old, moving to the big city of Los Angeles. Sabrina started off with posting music videos of her singing on YouTube. People saw that she had amazing talent, and the videos blew up.
Disney noticed her videos and signed her a deal for the show Girl Meets World. This show is what started off Sabrina’s fame. She played the character Maya. Maya is witty and loyal. She looks after the people she cares about and is not afraid to express her opinions, even if others do not like what she is saying. The show was a big hit and went on for 3 seasons. She was in 72 episodes and the final episode was on January 20th, 2017. This concludes her time with Disney.
Sabrina then went off into her music career after leaving Disney. She released her first song in 2014. The song was called “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying”. Thisong was soon followed by the studio albums “Eyes Wide Open” in 2015, “Evolution” in 2016, “Singular Act 1” in 2018, and “Singular Act 2” in 2019. After these albums, Sabrina announced she signed with Universal Music Group’s Island Records. The first song she released under that label was “Skin”. The public thought this song was connected to Olivia Rodrigo as both artists had relations with Joshua Bassett. In 2022 she released “Emails I Can’t Send” which was a big hit due to the song “All Because I Liked a Boy”. Sabrina seems to truly connect with the public as her songs are relatable and have meaning.
Sabrina went on to release her biggest album, “Short n’ Sweet”. This album went viral on all social media platforms, especially TikTok. TikTok is known for boosting songs to the public and making them popular. The most popular song in the album “Espresso” received the MTV Video Music Award for the song of the year. This marks Sabrina’s first ever VMA award. “Espresso” also received a Grammy Award nomination for record of the year and best pop solo performance for the 67th Grammy Awards. Sabrina released her “Short n’ Sweet deluxe” album on February 14th, 2025, and was loved and adored by fans. Sabrina announced that she will be going on a “Short n’ Sweet” tour back in June of 2024. This announcement made fans ecstatic and excited about Sabrina’s future in her music career.
Sabrina has truly accomplished a lot in entertainment. She was a main character on a Disney TV show and is now a popular pop artist adored by fans. She has come a long way from being a girl in a small town, PA, posting singing videos on YouTube to a pop star. Fans are looking forward to what her future holds. Hopefully, there will be many albums to come in the near future.
